Postponed to Feb 17: Wildlife SIG outing to Blackwater

Blackwater NWR , Saturday, February 17 th Outing
Due to Rainy forecast, we will Postpone the outing to Blackwater NWR, in
February, to Saturday, Feb 17th.

We will meet at the Blackwater Wildlife
Drive Entrance at 7am. Located on Key Wallace drive, along the north/east
side of the refuge.

We will have a short meeting at the Wildlife Drive Entrance and discuss a couple
other short outings local to the refuge. We will also get interested groups together
to do an extended tour around the Wildlife Refuge along Maple Dam Road.
Also, for those interested, a short visit to a local environment near the refuge with a
populated eagle environment at Decoursey Bridge Road.
I’m hoping that Mother Nature cooperates with us this time. Hoping that at this time
period, we will be dealing with a weather system from the south instead of the NW.
